THE ART OF MIME By Sonia Sanchez

The art of mime born as an art in Roma with the pantomime, then in XVII AND XVIII centuries the mime artists performed at theatres in Europe, but today in XX century mime art pretend to create as a complete form of theatre.Some of famous mime artist are:

Jean-Gaspard Deburau, French pantomimist who transformed the character of Pierrot in the traditional harlequinad.

Marcel Marceau, the most famous mime Universally acclaimed as the World's Greatest Mime.

Claude Kipnis, great stage mime and wrote "The Mime Book".

Samuel Avital, founded Le Centre Du Silence Mime School; an international mime performer.

The BEATLES love Cirque Du Soleil

•The origins of shadow theatre is in China during the Han (206BC to 220AD). but may countries used this kind of theatre as an art, some of them are:

•The shadow theatre consist in a ancient form using opaque forms behind a illuminated backdrop and then creae the illusion of moving images.

•The shadow theatre is between the real world and the fictitious one , between the to be or not to be .


•Today the shadow theatre is still used as a form to theater, in Asia is a part of the history of the theatre because itself was born in Asian cultures.

LOWBROW By Karina Morales

Is an underground art movement with a sense of humor and was influenced by comics, punk music,psychedelic and rock music,classic cartoons, 60's TV sitcoms, pulp art, soft porn, comic books, sci-fi and horror movies.

LOWBROW has been assigned a "circa" of 1994 and it comes from the magazine Juztapoz when the original term was “lowblow art” in a article about underground artists. The movement brought accessible art since “POP ART”. In this point we can observe some characteristics of Lowbrow:
· Lowbrow is an underground, it means lowbrow art was born like an need to express new ideas in young people.


· Lowbrow art has a sense of humor, it is often impish in the picture, but always present.


·Lowbrow art recognize icons of a popular culture, that 's why people like it.

The character called the attention, being able to evolve, are characters that make you feel to be identified by humanly created and that the writer wants to make this world a better place by helping others, and the way her books going to be represented in movies like Inkheart movie.
